About the role
MyEyeDr. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Real Estate team to be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising construction activities to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.

As Project Manager, you will ensure that your projects adhere to the requirements and business goals by driving project plans and coordinating activities within the established project timelines. This role will report directly to the Director, Construction and Facilities.

This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of either our Raleigh, NC or Vienna, VA offices.

 

You Will

  • Work independently to manage, schedule and report on activities related to project operations, as well as oversight of project communications to internal & external stakeholders
  • Create long-term and short-term CAPEX plans, adhering to budgets and timelines
  • Develop detailed plans for assigned capital projects including timelines, milestones, reporting, and resource allocation
  • Assemble bid package documents for all projects and coordinating survey access with Landlord contacts for potential bidders
  • Manage signage installations from landlord approvals to installations
  • Oversee internal ticket queue for assisting offices with signage and construction issues
  • Partner with the Sr. Manager, Construction & Design on sending out RFPs for each project and selection of the contractor offering the best product/service while driving overall cost savings for the company
  • Preparation of weekly reporting and project status updates for key stakeholders to drive accountability
  • Oversight of office moves and clean outs and delegate responsibilities to appropriate stakeholders
  • Maintain project files, meetings records and correspondence, and project control information
  • Ability to travel to job sites to check on construction projects, walk throughs, and office moves as needed
  • Understand and gain knowledge of optometric practices and installation and design of frame rooms
  • Liaison with Contractors and Landlords
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 About You

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience, within retail would be preferred
  • 5+ years of Real Estate, Facilities, or Construction experience managing multiple projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience required
  • PMP certification preferred or working towards certification
  • Has some knowledge of reading blueprints and can articulate changes to plans
  • Ability to build relationships with contractors and subcontractors and skillfully negotiate contracts
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, ProLease, Procore, Salesforce software programs
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that are clear and concise
  • Highly organized with strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Be self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible; have the initiative and ability to tackle new projects and challenges daily
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
